Yes, Solar Power Works DOES Work Here
Another story of someone making it off the grid.
MY TURN: Yes, Solar Power Works DOES Work Here : Letters : Kitsap Sun
I have 16 panels, 12 batteries and an inverter that power my home. My personal “power company” has paid for itself several times over. I have also tried using wind power, but the area in which I live is not ideal for maximum power output. I would use a hydro turbine, but the creek that runs through my property is home for migrating salmon.
In 1982, Puget Sound Energy wanted over $20,000 to lay a line to my home from my nearest neighbor. After much reading and research, I invested that money into my OWN system.
